I read an article today, in which Alessandro Cortini mentions that, as he puts some effort into the synth, he gets something back from the instrument in return, together making up the final work. Sometimes that's 50/50, sometimes 20/80. I can relate to this very much.

I do not sit down with a clear plan in mind, but more a theme and setting and mood. And while there is some intention in that, once I set off into improv-land, the track shifts and morphs, and becomes whatever it wants to be. I'd like to believe that I am guiding this in some way, but more often, I think the work is guiding me. This is why I currently prefer live recording over layering.

I had set out to release an EP every three months, and I am somewhat surprised that this schedule works. There will be one more EP in May 2021, but after that I'll retreat to produce a full album over the course of a year.

But for now, enjoy, and thank you very much for listening.
